San Martín de Valdeiglesias is a town of Comunidad de Madrid with a population is 8.190 people.
San Martín has a castle, the Castle of Coracera which was built in the fifteenth century.
San Martín is near to Cadalso de los Vidrios, Pelayos de la Presa, Villa del Prado, Aldea del Fresno, Navas del Rey y Colmenar del Arroyo, other towns of Comunidad de Madrid, and it is also near the village of Ávila: El Tiemblo, and Pantano de San Juan.
In summer San Martín has a greater population than in winter as people come to spend their holidays because the temperature in this town is perfect.
The culture of this town is varied. It has a music and dance group called "Grupo de Jotas María de la Nueva". This group is known throughout the country through the sale of their music.
The festivals of San Martín are between September 7–12, and are in honor of the Virgin Mary.
